Ebay Payment Stuck Pending as an E-Cheque! PayPal Support UNHELPFUL

I paid for my eBay item and because I hadn't registered a card on paypal the payment went through as an e-cheque. Now I'm totally stuck - I can't wait 7 days! PayPal won't get back to me. There are no options on the transaction page to do ANYTHING. Can't cancel the transaction and pay again.

God, if I knew it was this much hassle I would have just paid by CARD.

If you had added a back up card then the payment from your bank account would have been instant.

That is because paypal normally credit the seller in advance and then paypal wait for the funds to transfer from your bank account.

This is because they use the slowest (cheapest) option and it goes via electronic (not wire) transfer via ACH in batches.

BUT if you haven't got a back up card linked to your account to reduce risk to them of the bank transfer failing then this time you wait for the funds to transfer ie echeque (electronic cheque)
