Depop scam (sold an item never received my money)

I have been scammed on depop, i listed my item for £225, Sent it to the person and the person has since blocked me on instagram and is ignoring my messages

Why would you send anything before you were paid ???

They sent an email confirmation that the money will come when it has been shipped off
