Company cancelled my order. Paypal shows the transaction as cancelled, money not available in bank?

I placed an order late last night (28/11/2019). I paid as usual but then received a call that the item was no longer in stock. The order was cancelled their end and I was informed no charge had been made on my card.
Checking the details of the order it has a strike through the amount and shows as cancelled. I'm yet to have the funds available to spend however. Is this merely a case of waiting until the funds appear? I can see the payment in my outgoings on my statement but as I said, Paypal shows that the transaction was cancelled.
Any clarity appreciated

The money is taken and held as an authorization. Auth. will eventually expire and drop off, releasing funds. It can take a week, up to 30 days.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
