In general, once you decide to pay with your PayPal account, you have the option to choose a funding source between your PayPal balance, your bank account or your card. If you chose to pay with your card, this may explain why you see the transaction twice. If you choose to pay with your card, in fact, you will see the transaction in your PayPal account but the charge will have only occurred to your card. You can check the funding source of your payment by clicking on the transaction in your PayPal account.
