Cannot Receive Payment Message in America

A company is trying to send me money and they keep getting this message:

"This recipient accepts PayPal payments only through their website. To complete payment, please go to their website and follow their instructions or email recipient for instructions."

 

I'm in California and I've never had this problem before. I understand that people have been getting this message when they are trying to send money to another country - but in MY case, I'm in America and this message is popping up for the person trying to send money to me for a purchase.

 

Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.
