Cancelled transaction. No refund yet?

I payed for an item on eBay which turns out the seller used the wrong pay pal address and the address dosent exist. So the advice I was given was to cancel the transaction and I will be refunded . The status on the action says ‘completed’ but I have no money in my bank account still!!! Where’s my money gone 😞

Does it say completed OR did you cancel it and then it said completed.

If it was the first then the payment has gone through to a paypal account so the address must exist.

If it doesn't belong to the seller then email that email address and ask them to refund you.

If they refuse then you can open a dispute for non receipt of item as that paypal account has nothing to send you.
