Cancelled Automatic Payments reappeared the next day

I went through the procedure to cancel several automatic payments. when done they showed up in the Inactive list as expected. The next day I logged back into the account, checked the automatic payments and the vendors I had cancelled where back in the active list.

 

How could that happen? and how do I permanently cancel them?

Try clearing your browser cache/paypal cookies. Also try canceling at the accounts of these merchants if any.

 

Try canceling again on the Automatic Payment page:

 

Go to Account Settings (gear icon) > Payments > Manage Automatic Payments

Select merchant on left, click Cancel on the right.
