Cancel temporary authorization payment

How do I cancel a temporary authorization payment? Paypal help says to do this: 

1. On the Activity page, locate the pending payment.
2. Click Cancel under the pending payment.
3. Click Cancel Payment.

Yet, none of these options on are on the activity page, and the text "cancel" does not exist.

Temporary authorizations drop off or expire after a week or so but no later than 30 days if the merchant does not capture the payment. If the payment is marked complete, you can click "Report a problem" within payment details to open a dispute.

Does that mean I can click "cancel" button after a week?
