What happens if I cancel a payment? I booked a room, but now I learned that it is on a really bad neighborhood, the site where I booked the room said they can't refund me, but what if I just cancel the payment?
You can open a paypal dispute for non receipt of item or item received but not as described OR if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then your card issuer may help you.

Yeah, I thought I could not just cancel any payment but I saw that this was still active and there was a Cancel option. If it means I would get my money back for sure without further investigation then I would click on it but since it was my fault to book a room and not checking on the neighborhood myself I'm afraid in a dispute they would say that I was wrong and I can't get my money back.
