Cancel payment on authorisation

Hello

I made a purchase on Darty.com through Paypal recently. The money got deducted from my bank account but Darty cancelled my order. I checked with Darty's team and they said that we cancelled this transaction and I should contact Paypal for my refund as they didn't receive any money. In my paypal account, the status of my transaction is on 'Authorisation' and it says "This is a temporary authorisation to make sure your payment method will cover the payment. Your payment method will be charged when DARTY SAS completes your order." But my order was already cancelled by Darty 4 days back.

I tried to cancel this payment but the Paypal chatbox is always offline.

What should I do now?

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
