Your primary PayPal currency is the currency you send and request with.
If you hold CAD currency in your PayPal balance, then set your primary currency to CAD, to send and request in CAD.
To accept and hold a currency other than your account's base currency, then you must create a foreign currency balance within your PayPal balance to accept the foreign currency you want to accept and hold.
