Can't send refound

Hi, I received a payment in Mexican currency, the customer said it was a mistake and he wants his money back. I tried to send a refound but it says "your paypal balance is not enough" in despite i do have more than enough in USD. What can I do? Please help, thanks !

If you are refunding from your paypal balance then refund the mexican currency he sent as you can't send USD.

Thx, So if I understand correctly, I can't refound in other than USD right?

If I wanted to, I'd only have the alternative to send a payment from USD to Mexican pesos?

You would need to ask your mexican sender if they have added USD as a receiving currency on their paypal account and can accept it.
