Can't recieve my refund

Hello, I am new to Paypal.

I have used Paypal last year to buy a premium membership for a game, and recently needed a refund. But the problem is, I can't seem to get my refund, even though it clearly states in an email i received that I got my money back. My PayPal balance is $0.00 and my debit MasterCard has only 8 cents remaining on it and has never received the refund either, even though the email I got states that the money went onto it. I keep calling the number on the car and it still says I only have 8 cents on it.  It might help to mention that the card I am using is a Vanilla gift card. Help would be extremely appreciated.

If you paid using a prepaid type card, the refund is credited back to that card however, as many cards are not reloadable, you have to contact the card issuer for assistance with getting the credit reapplied to the card.  (Note, the refund time can take up to 2 weeks.)
