Can’t receive money from friend

So a friend from the USA was trying to send me money today. at first the payment was received and it was pending, then hours later i got an email saying that it has been reversed. I made sure that my friend didn’t cancel the payment. It’s so weird. My account is unverified will verifying it help me receive the money next time? Please any help is appreciated

Oh my god Finally someone actually gave me a clear, useful answer. Thank you so much. I’m going to link my credit and verify it cause that seems to be the problem according to what you just sent me.
