I am looking to buy goods from China and have them shipped to the UK.

Does Paypal charge me to buy abroad, I'm having to pay in US$ ?

Also is there any import tax to pay here in the UK

I suggest you read up on all the folks that have been scammed from buying 'bargains' from China first.

If the item arrives and it is misdescribed as it often is then to get a refund you have to send it back trackable before you get a refund and that often costs more than the item is worth. So check out your seller / company first and google for reviews etc.

Having said that if you want to go ahead then when you pay in dollars it will tell you how much in sterling from your funding source before you submit the payment, this would cover currency conversion fees.
