I understand that refunds first go into my paypal account, then into my bank account if that's where I originally choose to pay from... but does anybody know if you can actually stop this from happening? I want all refunds to stay in my paypal account.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

They don't go to your paypal balance first, they automatically go directly through to your bank account or card automatically.
However it says on the information that it goes to your paypal 'account' as it has to clear from the sellers funding source first but doesn't actually show in your balance at anytime.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
