Hi. My aunt posted anitem worth £900 when payment was 'pending' in her account. Now it has vanished from her 'Activity' and the item has been posted. Has she been conned?

Was it on hold in her paypal balance OR was it a pending money request or invoice?

I think it was a request from what she said.

Pending funds couldn't have been withdrawn could they? Isn't itlike money being held in escrow?

Only sellers send money requests or invoices, buyers pay them and the funds show in your paypal account balance.

Sounds as if she has been scammed by someone sending a money request and then fake paypal emails to say that they have 'paid'?

Paypal does not do escrow.
