I thought that after someone pays me through PayPal, I would be able to use those funds for other PayPal purchases.
But it doesn't seem to work that way. PayPal just charges my credit card for those purchases and ignores the payments received.
Am I doing something wrong? When I make a purchase, do I need to tell PayPal to use my available balance?

Are the funds cleared and not pending?
If so then do this................
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your prefered way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.
