Arc Europe chasing debt

Can anyone help, I paid for an item with paypal balance but the balance went into minus. There was a red alert saying to top up account but as the item was paid for and I had collected it from store I didn't think it was necessary. Now I've had emails from Arc Europe a debt company demanding the amount. I've now added the amount to my account and the balance is now at zero, but I now think I must have paid twice. Do I ignore Arc Europe, I did email them but they did not reply? Is it a scam??

If you paid twice then the merchant was paid twice; once when you collected item, right and once via PayPal, contact merchant to issue a refund through PayPal.
