I sold my wedding dress for 725 including shipping and received that payment from the buyer that’s pending but received an email that she sent 550 extra since I wasn’t a business account. It said she claimed a refund but asked me to go through venmo to refund it. The only pending amount in my paypal is the $725. Would Paypal ask me to refund money through an email that wasn’t placed in my account?
Is it a pending 'invoice' in your paypal account or pending 'money request' if so then its a scam as the buyer has not paid.
Also the 'overpayment' bit is a definite scam, no way do paypal tell you to refund funds you have not received and certainly not using venmo which is a friends/family payment and not one you use for a refund.
