Due to a slow response from my bank, and seeing no indication of requested transfer, I resubmitted the transfer request, only to see later on, that both had been sent. Whilst in PayPal help, it states that if a payment is pending, it can be cancelled, this function does not appear to be available to me, when I open the payment in "Activities", I do not see any option to cancel the unwanted payment, as described in the Help entries.

The instructions you saw are probably referring to PayPal transactions not "PayPal Credit" payments.
Maybe try this method:
Or this:
If you were making single payments:

I don't see or find any directions to cancel those. If you overpaid, the credit will appear in your next statement and if you don't use it in a couple of billing cycles, then PayPal will issue a refund and send you a cheque in the mail.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
