I removed a debit card on file because I no longer have it anymore. I then put new payment information on file for my account. I disputed a charge recently because I was sent items that were not as described. It says the refund is going to the debit card that I removed from my PayPal account because it no longer exists. Shouldn’t refunds go to the current payment information I have on file? Can anyone advise?

Refunds automatically go back to the funding source you used when you paid the seller.
So if your debit card ACCOUNT is still open then it should still go through ok.
If the ACCOUNT is closed then hopefully the funds should bounce back to your paypal account balance, allow 30 days and if no show then contact c.s. for a trace.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I lost the debit card and just got a new one. They are both attached to the same bank account. I actually put my bank account as the primary payment method now.
