"If you need to cancel a PayPal order or authorization on your account, please contact the merchant directly. An order or authorization is an agreement between you and the merchant to purchase an item for a set amount, and PayPal doesn't have the ability to cancel that agreement.

Orders and authorizations typically expire in 30 days.

Authorizations can also be placed for a future purchase, for example a hotel stay or reservation. This type of authorization would not be processed until you arrive."

If no response from seller, and the temporary auth. turns into a completed charge instead of expiring and releasing funds, you may dispute it but it'll be tricky since PayPal purchase protection does not cover all circumstances such as buyer's remorse type reasons (didn't fit, changed mind, don't like, didn't meet expectations, etc) or all items/services. In which case, you may consider disputing through your card issuer if you paid with card instead*.

*Don't open disputes at multiple venues, choose one or do it one at a time. Dispute through PayPal first to see how that works out. If it fails, then go to your card issuer.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
