How do I cancel a pending payment for an order that failed?

A couple of days ago I ordered tyres and fitting from BlackCircles.com using my debit card.

My bank refused the payment, and texted me asking for confirmation that I had placed the order.

I didn't know this at the time - I didn't have my phone with me.

I decided to switch to PayPal payment instead.

Today Black Circles finally got back to me and said that there is no order - the order had failed because payment was declined.

I still have a pending PayPal payment to Black Circles.

How do I cancel it?

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
