I've been noticing that some of our reference transaction profiles are having the contact names change without consent. My gut feeling is that, the customer is using the card at an alternative PayFlow site and PayPal is automatically updating their internal profile with the customers name. The issue we have with this is that the names mismatch, for example, we had one customer called "John Smith" and now they appear as "JON/JOHN NotProvided" - for our accounts and reconciliation its a bit frustrating, and no doubt if we ever got a dispute we may have some difficulty providing that we did obtain the customers proper name first and it had mysteriously changed.
I also suspect, with GDPR, this may be sketchy ground adjusting the data without consent or at least, providing us 3rd party data from another account.
