Unknown IPN requests from Paypal

Hi,
our new, untouched IPN backend, without any traffic, receiving some unknown, new "pending" sandbox subscriptions from PayPal with our sandbox user account. It is really strange, because we 100% sure we didn't performed ANY sandbox tests for more than a month. I know it is possible to have some delays an retries, but these echoes are obviously not retries.
We would like to know, is that phenomenon is common, or something that should never ever happen?
