Hi,

I got an email from paypal saying that i need to upgrade to TLS 1.2

I used the 2 checker below and they both said my website (https://www.eczema.org.au) was using TLS 1.2

https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=www.eczema.org.au

https://cryptoreport.websecurity.symantec.com/checker/

I then installed TLS 1.2 Compatibility Test plugin for wordpress and it get

TLS 1.2 Enabled

Your site should work fine when making calls to gateways and APIs that require TLS 1.2. You may still want to consider the actions below to secure your site as much as possible.

Setting Value Action/Notes

Endpointhttps://tlstest.paypal.com/ (PayPal)PayPal_Connection_OK
PHP Version5.6.36PHP version 5.5.19 or higher detected.
cURL Version7.54.0cURL version 7.34.0 or higher detected.
cURL SSL VersionOpenSSL/1.0.2k

Make sure you are running OpenSSL/1.0.1 or higher, NSS/3.15.1 or higher, or the latest version of other cryptographic libraries.

Can someone please help why am i getting these emails from paypal?

Hi,

I've checked your account and can see that the notification is related to some IPN traffic from 3 days ago that used TLS1, however everything since has been on TLS1.2 so it looks like you are setup and ready to go.
