Receiving IPN Notifications that a customers has paid but customer was never charged

I work with a company that processes about 150 transactions a day. I use the PayPal IPN feature to verify payment received before we ship the products. A customer recently called and said she got a package from us but PayPal never took the money.  I looked in our database and I did indeed get an IPN response from PayPal claiming it was paid!

 

After doing some research, we are getting 4 or 5 of these a day and customers calling saying that when they choose PayPal and the javascript box pops up, they log in, click pay, it spins for a long time and then just closes and never redirects to the confirmation page nor takes any money but I still get an IPN notification that the customer paid.

 

Any help would be appreciated!
