From 3 April 2017 I have started getting errors like this:
currency, item name or number or quantity mismatch: IPN item_name (1+ADULT-START+IMMEDIATELY+for+w43799) does not match basket item_name (1 ADULT-START IMMEDIATELY for w43799) nor their trimmed sizes for IPN (1+ADULT-START+IMMEDIATELY+for+w43799) and basket (1 ADULT-START IMMEDIATELY for w43799)
For some reason "+" signs are being added where there are spaces in the IPN item_name, resulting in a mismatch and payment is not processed properly on my site. It does not happen for all payments.
What is going on and how can I fix it?
I'm not certain what WPS and EC are, but looking at the code, there is line that says <input type="hidden" name="bn" value="Joomlapolis_Cart_WPS" > so I am guessing WPS?
I too am seeing this. It started a couple of days ago, and I too am only seeing it on certain transactions. Here's an example sent to my IPN handler; please note the entry highlighted below in bold:
