While trying to connect PayPal account to the GearBest Associate Program, I received a message saying: “The payment account ID is illegal”. What does this mean and how can it be fixed?

As you have not added your country to your community profile or said in your post then we can't help (Paypal varies a lot country to country).
Also what countries paypal account are you using?
