paypal gateway in shopify store

Dear Team ,

Good day !

kindly I want to ask about papal payment gateway . my store is based on UAE and the currency of the store is AED . if I add PayPal as payment method do i need to change the currency to USD or the currency will be change in checkout automatic. Another concern plz . for customers who do not have PayPal account they can checkout or not .

last concern what is difference to have business account and personal account with PayPal .

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

Unfortunately, "AED" currency is currently not supported. 

Please find the list of PayPal supported currencies mentioned in the below guide links. 

REST API : https://developer.paypal.com/api/rest/reference/currency-codes/ 

NVP API : https://developer.paypal.com/api/nvp-soap/currency-codes/ 

To resolve the issue and accept funds, I would suggest to please contact your website developer or eCommerce Shopify support to cross check website payment API request calls and pass respective supported "Currency_code" to PayPal system.

Guest payment checkout (i.e payment via credit/debit without PayPal account) feature is not available for all Customers/Buyers. 

It's important to remember that guest checkout is not guaranteed for every transaction.

To receive guest checkout payments :

Enable the PayPal Account Optional option in your account settings.

Login PayPal.com >> Settings >> Account settings >> Website payments >> Website preferences >> PayPal Account Optional >> toggle "yes" .

If you have integrated legacy PayPal Express Checkout product, please contact your website developer (or) support of your third-party platform eCommerce Shopify to pass the variables "SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole" and "LANDINGPAGE=BILLING" in the SetExpressCheckout payment API request call to make sure guest checkout is offered as often as possible.

PayPal runs a risk check to determine eligibility for guest checkout. There will be times when guest checkout is not available.

Personal: Recommended for individuals who shop and pay online, or wish to send or receive personal payments for shared expenses such as splitting of dinner bills or rental charges; for casual sellers or non-businesses who wish to get paid online, and who also make online purchases.

Business: Recommended for merchants who operate under a company/group name. It offers additional features such as allowing up to 200 employees limited access to your account and customer service email alias for customer issues to be routed for faster follow-ups.
