Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Ultimate Membership Pro Wordpress Plugin

Hi,

Our WordPress site uses a plugin called Ultimate Membership Pro that was accepting payments through PayPal for a year, but then it stopped for unknown reasons.

The plugin is still activated and functioning aside from processing PayPal.

The malfunction did not coincide with changes to the site hosting or SSL certificate.

I tried setting "Block Non-encrypted Website Payment" to OFF since that seems to be a common solution to this problem.

I have tried the original PayPal account as well as a Sandbox account with the plugin in Sandbox mode.

I tried generating an uploading a public certificate to the PayPal account.

I tried entering the merchant ID to the plugin

There is no apparent problem with access to IPN file which can be accessed manually via URL other than the fact that it doesn't contain any meaningful information.

Here is a decoded error URL without the %hex characters. The forum made me remove the email address before posting and I had to add a spaces to the addresses to prevent them from being obscured:

Hi @hijohn,

Within the URL I notice that you have the variable modify=1. This variable was deprecated in April/May of this year and you can find we give guidance on our article Important Notice regarding upcoming Subscription changes.

You can re-create a new Subscription button without the functionality of modifying a subscriptions which should solve your issue. If you have more issues you can submit a ticket with our Merchant Technical Support who can help you to identify the issues.

Hi,

Apparently there was an update available for the plugin, but the Wordpress dashboard does not indicate any updates are available so I was not aware of this, nor do I know how to install the updated plugin without deactivating it and uninstalling, which I'm afraid will erase the plugin data. "modify=1" is definitely an indicator of the problem so thank you for confirming that.
