Paypal generated buy now button not working in gmail

In Paypal I created a Buy Now Button and copied the URL. In Gmail images I pasted the URL and the error code Image not available or Cannot access file Can you tell me how get gmail to recognize the image? I already verified that there is not a drop down option for my button.
