Paypal button problems

Hi, I just started selling an on-line magazine on my website, so after creating the paypal buttons I decided to test it with my own debit card purchase to see if it worked. There didn't seem to be an error but when I check my paypal account, there is no money in it, and when I check my bank account, nothing was deducted. Can anyone give me any tips how to go about resolving this or is it something I need to talk to tech support about with paypal?

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

 

Can you please contact your website developer or the support of the third party platform eCommerce to cross check the PayPal environment (LIVE/Sandbox) integrated on your website. 

 

Sandbox is test environment and working fine with test card details. 

 

Test credit card used for Sandbox test environment can't to processed via LIVE production.

 

Once verified, I would suggest to please process a test payment via card which is not linked to your PayPal account. Since, merchant can't process self payments.
