Hi Guys
I have inherited a website from a client and there are two PayPal forms on it.
The client rescently recieved an email saying:
"
Update your PayPal buttons before 29 March 2017
"
and
"
We’ve identified that this upgrade will impact at least one of your PayPal buttons
"
I honestly dont know where they created these forms nor do I know where to perhaps create new ones, so, I was hoping that i could paste the code of one of the forms here and someone could perhaps take a quick look at point me in the right direction.
Here is one of the forms:
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"><input name="cmd" type="hidden" value="_s-xclick" />
<input name="hosted_button_id" type="hidden" value="RWWNSYKGCF996" />
<table>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><input name="on0" type="hidden" value="Choose your subscription" />Choose your subscription</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><select name="os0">
<option value="1-year (4 issues)">1-year (4 issues) $20.00 AUD</option>
<option value="2-years (8 issues)">2-years (8 issues) $40.00 AUD</option>
</select></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><input name="on1" type="hidden" value="Is this subscription a gift?" />Is this subscription a gift?</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><select name="os1">
<option value="For myself">For myself</option>
<option value="Gift">Gift</option>
</select></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><input name="on" type="hidden" value="Email/Post address for renewal" />Email/Post address for renewal</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><input maxlength="200" name="os2" type="text" /></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><input name="on" type="hidden" value="Start Edition (e.g. Summer 2016)" /> Start Edition (e.g. Summer 2016)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><input maxlength="200" name="os3" type="text" /></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
<input alt="PayPal – The safer, easier way to pay online!" name="submit" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_AU/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif" type="image" />
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
*Note that i did look at the other thread regarding this but i couldnt find any answers.
Thanks again
David

Hi
Thanks for the tip.
OK i have gone and done that.
IS there any way of checking if what i have done now passes the new stanards?
Here is the page - http://www.westendmagazine.com/subscribe/
I have two PayPal buttons
1) a BUy Now
2) a Subscription
Both were created from scratch using the button creator on the PayPal website.
Does the Subscription button look like its workign as should for you? The page that you are sent to looks like the old PayPal checkout page?
Any help is greatly apprecicated.
THanks
David

Would it be easier to simply create new buttons?
I have finally found where to do that - https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_button-management

Give that it was inherited from a client, I would recommend recreating the buttons via the button manager as you mentioned. Its the quickest solution. If you need help walking through the button factory let me know, but it is straight forward enough.

The best way to check is to click the buy Now button to see if you are getting the new checkout screen. If you're getting the old then the variables need to be corrected somewhere, the new checkout flow means you're good.
The subscription button wont be impacted by this change at all.
