PayPal Identity Token or PDI

Can anyone tell me how to get a PDI. I need it for Easy Digital Downloads for my website. 

The instructions from both EDD and PayPal do not make any sense.

Hi @NancyBrown,

I believe you are attempting to access a token for PDT (Payment Data Transfer). If so, follow the instructions below:

Here's how to request a PDT token.

1. Click Profile.
2. Click Profile and settings.  
3. Click My selling tools.
4. Click Update beside Website preferences.
5. Select On for Auto Return for Website Payments.
6. Enter the URL (in the Return URL field) that you will send your buyers to after a transaction completes.
7. Select On for Payment Data Transfer (optional).
8. Click Save.
9. Click Website preferences under Selling Online. Here you'll see your identity token displayed under the Payment Data Transfer (optional) heading.
