I cannot refund my money to my customer

My shop's website linked to paypal.


My customer bought an item on my website but this one was out of stock.


Customer paid money to me via paypal.


But I could not issue a refund to my customer.


Here are my steps to issue a refund:


  1. Click Activity at the top of the page.
  2. Select the payment you want to refund.
  3. Click Refund this payment.
  4. Under "Total Refund Amount," enter the amount you want to refund (you may have the option to refund a partial amount of the payment), and then click Issue Refund (you'll be directed to a page confirming that your refund has been sent).

But paypal showed a message: "We can't process any refund at this moment due to technical reasons. Please try again later"


Please me refund this transaction to my customer as soon as possible!
