How do I find out if the money buyer days he posted was posted.

I sold my tablet online. The buyer told me he posted $600 dollars on pay pal for me. I just needed to send him a copy of the shipping labels. I did and he told me it may take up to 4 hours for them to show it in account. Does that sound right?
