Why is Paypal freezing my account for 180 days after they close the investigation in my favor?

They may have found in your favour but consider you high risk and no longer want you as a customer?

Hi Beba1983Beba,

I am very sorry to see that you are facing problems with your account, I will gladly try to assist you!

In order for me to help you, you have to elaborate on the problem you are facing, I do not understand what you mean by "PayPal freezing your account", do you mean your PayPal account has been limited? Also what investigation did they close, was it a dispute or claim, if they closed a dispute or claim that means they have investigated the dispute/claim and decided you were in the wrong.

If its the 180 days email it means they have been permanently banned but can withdraw funds after 180 days.

Nothing to do with disputes or claims you can be banned from using paypal for a myriad of reasons.

Paypal holds your funds for 180 days as that is the same timeframe that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

So if no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes Paypal request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so.
