I have noticed that when I sell something on ebay, paypal receives the sale of the item, shipping if any and sales tax if any. I have gone through support and questioned why paypal is taking their cut from the sales taxes paid and I get less profit. They said the way ebay reports they cannot differentiate the sales and state sales tax. But not only am I losing a few cents here and there but the sales are being recorded with sales tax and overstates that amount to the IRS on next years 1099-K. Why cannot this be resolved?
