Custom Logo & Cart Style Confusion

hello, not sure if i'm posting this in the correct place, but...

i've been going in to my profile > sell > buttons area & create buttons for stuff i sell on my website.

i'm trying to figure out how to put my logo on the shopping cart & checkout pages but am very confused.

it's been my understanding that my logo image must be hosted on a secure site, giving the image url an "https" beginning. i used to do this via dropbox, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

in my research, i found this page...
https://www.paypal.com/hk/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-add-a-custom-logo-to-my-paypal-checkout-flow-ts...
...and it's 1st method shows to use "image_url=" in step 3 of button creation. but there's 2 problems with this...
1) it doesn't say what SIZE the logo needs to be, &
2) it's example shows it's url at "HTTP" without the "S".
so does that mean we do not need to find a secure host anymore???
(as far as the 2nd method goes, i don't know what NVP & SOAP are, much less how to use them).

then i found in the help pages that a logo size should be 150x50px. that seems pretty small to me.

then i found the area to customize checkout pages & it has 2 logo options (190x60 and 750x90).

and it has an ability to preview an "enhanced" or "classic" version.

but when i click on a button i've already made on my website, it opens a paypal cart that looks completely different than either of these styles.

where are the styling options for that & why isn't it listed with the enhanced & classic choices?

moreso, how do you choose which style (enhanced, classic, or unnamed) to be the active one used?

lastly, i came across the developer site & it seems as if this provides yet another cart method, where it pops up a small window with the checkout page - and its style doesn't match any of the other ones mentioned (so now there's 4 styles to figure out?).

if i want to use this developer method, can i simply insert that "checkout.js" code it provides into my site and still use the button creation tool for each of my products? or do i then have to expand on the given code & do it all manually???

so, as you can see, i'm at a loss on:
- which method to use,
- which size to use,

- which style to use,
- which code to use,
- & where to host my logo image.

would appreciate some guidance,

thanks.

in an attempt to be helpful, here's some updated info i've been able to obtain from direct communication with Paypal support...

first note - the "classic" & "enhanced" views are deprecated. but for some strange reason, there are a minority of folks who still have these views in use. this isn't something we have any control over. i guess Paypal is  s l o w l y  transitioning everyone away from these views and in to what is now called an "advanced node view" (what a name!) - and it's NOT customizable!

the only customizing you can do is to add your logo to it. and the official size of this logo is a small 150x50px!

you can add your logo by either:
1) using the "image_url" html variable option in the 3rd stage of each button creation, or
2) go to your "Profile & Settings" > "Business Information" page & upload it as your "Profile Icon".

oh, & yes, if you link to it, it still must be securely hosted, giving it an "https" type url (that help page is wrong).

i've discovered you CAN use Dropbox for this. you just have to modify the url of your shared image a little...
when you share an image, you'll get a url something like:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/paypal-logo-150x50.png?dl=0

you'll need to change the domain part & get rid of the end like:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/paypal-logo-150x50.png

NOW - i have noticed that the logo does NOT show up on the "shopping cart" page, but it DOES show up on the "checkout" pages (both if the user clicks to sign in to paypal or to use a credit card). i am still waiting to hear back as to why this is, if it's in error & if there's a way to make it show up on the cart page.

lastly, when i inquired about the "checkout.js" developer option as described @ https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout
i got a bit of a run-around, trying to guide me to other Paypal products, such as something called "Payflow" - after a few more days of back'n'forth, they finally said i could use the checkout.js option but noted that it is not connected with the button creation tool, so it is more for "developers".

hope that helps.

update:

i just heard back from official paypal tek support about the logo not appearing on the cart page but does appear on the checkout page.

and i quote...

This is an intended behaviour. The logo do not appear in the cart page. It appears on the page where you are trying to pay.
Sincerely,
(name edited out in case it would be a problem including it)

lame (imho) - i registered my disapproval (for what it's worth).
