my paypal balance is wrong, i think there is a scammer on ebay as i purchased from them the value was £16.50, earlier this morning they refunded it back to me i purchased 2 items since then and my balance was showing up £16.50 short, have paypal got it wrong or has someone done a scam?

-6.99 purchase= 18.88 balance
+ 16.50 refund = 35.38 balance
-2.68 purchase = 16.20 balance ( this is where it does not add up)
-11.50 purchase = 4.70

can anyone shed light upon this please?
