I received a phone call from security today because I had been using my card for foreign transactions and they wanted to verify them. No problem but 1) the call was automated and 2)I was supposed to call a number given by the automated message.
The problem was the message went too quickly for me to write down the number and there was no option to repeat the message. I ended up calling the Paypal main number and then being redirected twice until I got to the correct department. This took up my time as well as the time of the agents.
Paypal used to have a human call me and if I didn't answer they would leave a voicemail message. Is this automated message a new "improved" way to do it? If so, it's very inefficient for both the customer and Paypal
