I have been using paypal for a while now, with success. But on 3/23/20 I received a letter from Synchrony Bank saying my request to open a paypal credit account has been denied. I've had no trouble using the account before and since this letter.
WTF?????
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
