Set up on automatic payments for years & all of the sudden I got late charges

Does anyone know why?  

 

I received a message or two saying my payment was due but, ignored them because I have always been set up for fees to auto-deduct from my account.  Now I have a late fee & interest charges all of the sudden.  When did this change?
