Can I pay part. Debit and part credit ?

PayPal Credit virtual credit line cannot do split payments. It has to cover the entire purchase.
You can do split payments with available funds in your PayPal Cash/Cash Plus balance, with the difference paid by credit card.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
