Paypal Credit - Purchases you can and can't use paypal credit for

Hi,

I have been advised by somebody from customer services that I cannot use paypal credit for auction won items, however I have just won an item on ebay via auction and it gives the option to use paypal credit as a method of payment.

Has anyone used paypal credit for items won by auction before?
