The interest free period is due to end on one my purchases. How do I allocate payment to this specific transaction in order to avoid been charged interest?

Hi, I’ve looked at terms but can find no instructions as to how to pay interest free items, I’ve been paying over and above monthly payment but still shows full balance of my interest free item as outstanding
