PayPal Credit Payment Unsuccessful

Yesterday I made a payment to pay off my remaining PayPal credit balance, and then received an email today saying it was unsuccessful however with no reasoning - it was the same account I use to pay off my balance and it had more than the outstanding balance.

 

My payment status for that payment is still pending, despite receiving an email saying that my payment was unsuccessful and to make another payment. My PayPal credit says £0 as if my payment has been successful.

 

My question is: will the pending payment try and take the funds again or am I safe to make another payment? I'm trying to avoid making two payments of the same amount. I have contacted PayPal my message centre and was met with unhelpful bots, and have tried calling PayPal Credit via telephone and because my issue does not fall into 'please press this button for this issue...' I am unable to connect to a human.
