I received a $5 promotion offer from Pay Pal since I haven't used it in a long time. When I went to apply it to a purchase I was finally making using PayPal, it didn't let me apply it to my credit card payment, but said I had to either apply it to a PayPal Cash account, which sounded like I had to send you cash first, or give you my banking information so it can go into my bank account, which I don't want to give you; you already have my credit card number. So I had to ask it be sent by check, only to find that there ended up to be a fee equal to 30% of the amount ($1.50)! This feels really slimy; why couldn't I just apply it to the invoice I was paying? I feel scammed. This kind of thing is why I stopped using PayPal in the first place, but this time I had to because of the vendor I was using. Can anyone help get my $5 back and usable?
